Bring It On

2009 what a year, the BASE team-riders really put on a show for us. With all the hard work put into the team rider boards, it is a great reward to see it pay off.

Mick took out his 2nd world title with a great back to overcome his great friend Parko and Steph took home her 3rd consecutive world title. For DH this success overwhelming, making it five out of the last six world titles for his top two team riders. Alongside Mick and Steph's success there was some other great efforts by the BASE team riders.

Simon Anderson rider Jay 'Bottle' Thompson requalified for the WCT, as well as Bourton team rider Luke Munro. It is great to see these guys back in the top 44 and best of luck to them in 2010.

A great start to the year to Adriano De Souza finishing 2nd to Parko at Snapper. Some consistent strong surfing from Adriano saw him finish the year in 5th position.

Another notable Snapper effort was that of Corey Ziems, back on the WQS after recovering from serious back injury. Corey took out the Snapper trials with some true local style. Good luck for 2010 Corey.

DHD's big wave charger Ryan Hipwood continued to impress, copping some serious buckets on the head and taking out the Waves Black Knight competition. Keep on charging Hippo.
