MACHINE SHAPE

Base has three APS3000 machines purring six days per week. The machines are the brain child of Miki Langenbacker who has been toying with shaping machines for over 25 years.

The APS is a custom machine that cuts one file at a time so every board that comes off could be different to the last which encourages the custom mentality.The machining takes the board to within 85% of being finished.

This machine is accurate to .5 of a millimetre and is proliferating around the world as the machine of choice. The program is user friendly and has been embraced by all Base founding shapers.
