MICK FANNING'S WINNING BOARDS

MF's Reunion Board 05

Placing: 1st

WCT Event: Rip Curl Reunion Island 2005

Size: 6’1 x 18 ¼ x 2 3/16
This is one of the first boards that had extreme concave in the board and it went exceptionally well on his backhand which led him to first place, against fellow Australian Phil MacDonald in the final of the 2005 Reunion Island competition.
  MF's Snapper Board 04

Placing: 1st

WCT Event: Quiksilver Pro Snapper Rocks, Australia 2004

Size: 6’1 x 18 ¼ x 2 3/16

This is the one that Mick Fanning won Snapper in 2004 against Chris Ward in the final. It was the first board that we started doing the extra single concave and bigger fins.

MF's Brazil Board 02

Placing: 2nd

WCT Event: Brazil 2002

Size: 6’0 ½ x 18 1/8 x 2 1/8

Mick Fanning got 2nd in Brazil on this board, this board is special because the morning of the competition before the final, Mick and Dean Morrison’s house caught on fire and Mick had to rescue it out of the house so he could surf it in the contest.

  MF's JBay Board 02

Placing: 1st

WCT Event: Billabong Pro Jeffrey’s Bay, South Africa 2002

Size: 6’0 x 18 x 2 1/8

Mick Fanning called this board the Harry Potter, because it was magic, (he did the drawing on the bottom). He went on to win the J-Bay 2002 competition on this board as a wild card.

MF's Bells Board 01

Placing: 1st

WCT Event: Rip Curl Bells Beach Cup, Australia, 2001

Size: 6’0 x 18 x 2 3/16

This is the normal single concave board that Mick Fanning rode to win Bells in 2001, it is bit narrower and thinner than most of his boards today, but he wasn’t as strong or as big as he is today.

  MF's Narra Board 99

Placing: 1st

WCT Event: O&E Pro Junior, Narrabeen, Australia, 1999

Size: 5’11 x 17 ¾ x 2 1/8

This board Mick Fanning won the Pro Junior in Narrabeen, Sydney in 1999. He surfed this board the whole year and it was one of the boards that I first started doing double concaves in his boards.

JOEL PARKINSON'S WINNING BOARDS

JP's Bells Board 04

Placing: 1st

WCT Event: Rip Curl Bells Beach Cup, Australia, 2004

Size: 6’2 x 18 3/8 x 2 ¼, round tail

Curve: D1

This board went amazing for Joel ; he won Bells and went on to get 2nd in other contests that same year on the same board. He wanted to keep surfing it but I took it off him.

  JP's USA Board 04

Placing: 1st

WCT Event: Boost Mobile Trestles, USA, 2004

Size: 6’2 x 18 3/8 x 2 ¼

Curve: D2

This board is the first board that I shaped similar to how Mick Fanning rides his boards, with a D2 curve and a deep single concave. He went on to win Trestles on this board.

JP's Snapper Board 02

Placing: 1st

WCT Event: Quiksilver Pro, Snapper Rocks, Australia, 2002

Size: 6’2 x 18 3/8 x 2 ¼

Curve: D1

This board with a D1 curve is one of the first boards that I made for Joel , it is special because he sprayed it himself “X to the Z”, when he was into rap music and stuff.
