Switching from a 7'6 to the 5'8 was a bit tough at first, but after a few sessions and a week in Sumbawa, I am now absolutely in love with this board. I've been riding it as a thruster, but I can't wait until I get to utilize the versatility of the 5 fin set up and ride it as a quad.
This board is stable and doesn't rock around when trying to stand up. It's easy to turn and the best part is that I can duck dive it with ease.
I'd definitely recommend this board for a learner or someone that wants to play around when the waves aren't that great or are small.
I've also found that I don't have too much trouble getting into non-powerful waves. That one was one of my biggest concerns after not having to paddle to get into a wave on my 7'6.
(I'm 5'1, 52kg and riding a 5'8.)
