Base Superbank is nestled right in the heart of Coolangatta
& the famous Gold Coast Superbank surf location.
 Formally
called “Pipedream Surfboards” the store offers
a diverse range of boards and surf
accessories within an extremely convenient location.
The Base Superbank store is the true surfers surf
shop with purely hardware for the hardcore surfer.
You won’t find racks of clothing when you walk through
the front door but rather rows of boards & a huge wall
of fins, deck grips, leg ropes and board covers.
The store has on show over 150 new boards by world famous
shapers such as Darren Handley, Murray Bourton, Sparrow
(SP) and Simon Anderson.
There are always plenty of second hand boards to choose from
occasional bargains with a special ex “Team rider section”
and factory boards.
The BASE superbank store offers a friendly, relaxed “no
pressure” atmosphere with plenty of room to move.
The sales team at BASE Superbank are surf mad and have been
provided with “handed down knowledge from world famous
shapers”. The team surfs local breaks, interstate, Indo,
Africa, Hawaii and can offer experienced, mature advice on
the shapes you require.
Murray Bourton himself is in the store almost
every Saturday to talk to customers. There
is even a shapers studio located above the
store where you can relax whilst Murray Bourton designs new
boards for you right before your eyes.
The team at BASE superbank are not just sales people they
are the true link between the shaper and the customer.
You won’t be bombarded by a stereotyped sales pitch
but more a seeking out of who you are, where you surf &
what your real needs are.
